- ➤ Thompson Center on Lourdes is moving to a new building on College Avenue and will be renamed the Mary Beth Nienhaus Activity Center for adults over 50, set to open in June at 3000 East College Avenue. The $6.5 million project will offer wellness programs, pickleball courts and technology-equipped classrooms—helping seniors stay connected while a matching donation challenge in honor of the philanthropist is underway. - ➤ A fire broke out at Neenah Foundry on May 29 at 8:10 p.m.—no injuries were reported as employees were evacuated and firefighters spent three hours controlling the blaze while the company assessed damage and began investigating the cause. WTAQ
- ➤ An SUV veered off W. Prospect Avenue near S. Van Dyke Road in Grand Chute around 4:25 p.m. Thursday—hitting a mailbox, a utility pole and a stopped vehicle, which led to the driver being taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead as police have not released the cause. WHBY
