  • Thompson Center on Lourdes is moving to a new building on College Avenue and will be renamed the Mary Beth Nienhaus Activity Center for adults over 50, set to open in June at 3000 East College Avenue. The $6.5 million project will offer wellness programs, pickleball courts and technology-equipped classrooms—helping seniors stay connected while a matching donation challenge in honor of the philanthropist is underway.  We Are Green Bay
  • Rescheduled from May 16, the Light the Night Market dazzled downtown Appleton on Friday—May 30 with food trucks, live music and street performers entertaining the crowd despite forecast rain and possible thunderstorms, and two more events are planned for August 22 and November 15.  We Are Green Bay

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A fire broke out at Neenah Foundry on May 29 at 8:10 p.m.—no injuries were reported as employees were evacuated and firefighters spent three hours controlling the blaze while the company assessed damage and began investigating the cause.  WTAQ
  • An SUV veered off W. Prospect Avenue near S. Van Dyke Road in Grand Chute around 4:25 p.m. Thursday—hitting a mailbox, a utility pole and a stopped vehicle, which led to the driver being taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead as police have not released the cause.  WHBY

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Cellcom will adjust customers' July phone bills and offer a second adjustment—its Double the Downtime offer—for those who lost service after an outage that began May 14 due to a cyber incident, with most service restored by May 27 and eligible customers able to sign up for the extra adjustment by June 16.  Post-Crescent

  • Appleton police are searching for missing man Donovan Xiong, who was last seen on Wednesday at approximately 2 p.m. on the 900 block of North Bay Ridge Road wearing a green T-shirt, jeans, black shoes, and possibly a jacket — he does not drive and has not contacted family.  FOX 11

HEALTH NEWS

  • ThedaCare reminded residents to take allergy safety measures as new seasonal allergens emerge. The health system said those with severe symptoms should visit an allergy specialist (immunotherapy may be an option if other treatments do not work) while those with milder symptoms should minimize exposure, wash hands and use air purifiers.  WBAY
