  • Big Brothers, Big Sisters of N.E.W, local Marines and Toys for Tots coordinators shopped Tuesday at Target to prepare for their 17th annual holiday party held today — an event where over 150 local children and families will receive gifts funded by nearly $10,000 in donations.  WBAY
  • A winner at the Pride of Neenah turned a $1 lottery ticket into a $100,000 win using the Power Play option in the Dec. 6 drawing & doubled a $50,000 prize to ease holiday shopping. The boost helped a local resident enjoy an unexpected financial break.  WOSH-AM

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Appleton School Board (AASD) gathered public input Monday night to see if there is support for a spring referendum. Officials will use the feedback to decide next steps for school policies.  WHBY

  • Local health experts warn residents with heart issues and those over 55 to take care when shoveling snow. ThedaCare's Dr. Kabour advised pushing snow, taking frequent breaks, and keeping a phone nearby+ anyone with chest pains, shortness of breath, or dizziness should call 911.  WOSH-AM
