- ➤ Angels Forever Windows of Light in downtown Appleton will close on December 7 after 38 years of service as its spot is taken over by new competition. Eroding Winds Record Shop will take over the location and open next February — marking further changes on College Avenue. WBAY
- ➤ Appleton International Airport is preparing for its busiest travel week as it will schedule 238 flights to serve 20,000 passengers during Thanksgiving week — the airport expects to hit one million travelers for the year either during or right after the holiday rush. WTAQ

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Kaukauna Area School District narrowed the new middle school name choices to four from 255 suggestions, and public hearings—Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 12 at 5:30 p.m.—will follow before the board votes on the final name for the $169.2 million project, which will build a new school southwest of the current high school and run until June 2028.
