- ➤ Allegiant Airlines pilots picketed at Appleton International Airport Tuesday as their union, Teamsters Local 2118, demanded an end to delays in contract talks while the airline maintained a full schedule. Allegiant said its new deal offered higher wages and better retirement benefits—though the union said the proposal was not fair. WBAY

- ➤ Wisconsin's 9-day gun deer season begins Saturday morning—DNR estimates the state's herd of about 2 million deer creates an annual economic impact of $2.6 billion, with 88% coming from this season—and the period will be key for hunters. WBAY

- ➤ Boys and Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley received an anonymous $1.4 million gift to expand its STEM and workforce readiness programs for youth. Officials said the new program, which includes makers labs, VR career simulations, robotics, coding classes and a STEM camp that runs for one week, will serve over 4,000 youth in Appleton, Menasha and Neenah over the next three years—helping them explore careers and learn new skills. - ➤ Fox Cities residents formed the Little Lake Butte des Morts Lake Association at the Appleton Yacht Club by approving bylaws, electing leaders and setting a $25 annual membership fee to fund cleanup efforts.
