- ➤ More than 80 veterans returned from an Old Glory Honor Flight Tuesday night after a day touring Washington, D.C. memorials such as the Korean, Lincoln and Navy sites — friends and family greeted them with a large welcome home celebration at Appleton International Airport. WBAY
- ➤ Local 5 News has compiled Trick or Treat times for many towns in northeast Wisconsin for Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1. Officials advise that children travel in groups with an adult, use lighting to stay safe, and visit only well-lit homes. WOSH-AM
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A new star-studded fundraising event called ‘Just Dance 2026’ will be held at Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on February 21, 2026 — 10 local dancers will perform live to raise funds for their chosen non-profits. WBAY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Northeast Wisconsin Technical College was named one of the top 200 community colleges by the Aspen Institute. The honor makes the school eligible to compete for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence—an award based on student retention, course completion, and transfer rates. WOSH-AM
- ➤ Brooke Steffanus, a 4K teacher at Clovis Grove Elementary in Menasha, shared that her class learns life skills such as zipping coats and sharing while also enjoying reading, singing, and playful activities; one of her first 4K students recently visited her classroom, marking a full circle moment.
