- ➤ An Appleton bakery is stepping in to help residents who may lose food assistance as FoodShare funding is at risk during the government shutdown — the Breadsmith owners are asking for non-perishable donations to support the local St. Joseph’s Food Program. WBAY
- ➤ About 100 residents, business owners and local politicians gathered Wednesday night in downtown Appleton to address excessive noise from vehicles with loud exhausts. The group plans more enforcement and public education—Mayor Woodford said increased patrols and a new reporting system will help curb the disruption. FOX 11
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Attendees on Wednesday night experienced a special touch tour at Fox Cities Performing Arts Center — they handled props and costumes from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast show. The show runs through Sunday — an audio description will help guests with vision impairments. WBAY
- ➤ The Trout Museum of Art in Appleton opened its new 30,000 square foot space at 325 E College Ave + it shares the building with Lawrence University. The museum offers free admission until 2026 + it will rotate exhibits from local and national artists every two to four months. FOX 11

- ➤ South Commercial Street in Neenah is now open after a 7-month project that cost $10.8 million. City officials said the work was completed on budget and on time—upgrading sidewalks, storm sewers, pavement, driveways and traffic signals for drivers and local businesses. WBAY
- ➤ State lawmakers have introduced a bipartisan bill that proposes a hub and spoke model to let tribes run online sports betting statewide by using tribal land servers — a plan based on a Florida court ruling. The proposal may bring new revenue if Gov. Tony Evers signs it before he leaves office in 2027. Post-Crescent
