- ➤ The Trout Museum of Art in Appleton has opened a new facility at 325 E. College Ave.—shared with Lawrence University—with a grand opening celebration today that includes a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. The museum closed its former location near Houdini Plaza in May. FOX 11

- ➤ Travel Wisconsin Fall Report shows peak fall colors will occur in Appleton from Oct. 13–19, and local experts and the Parks Department recommend visiting several parks for the best views. The advised sites include Bubolz Nature Preserve, Fox Cities Trestle Bridge, High Cliff State Park, Heckrodt Wetland Reserve, 1000 Islands Environmental Center (near Konkapot Creek Trail), Mosquito Hill Nature Center and Plamann Park.
