- ➤ Lawrence University student Lillian Sandberg has volunteered at Edison Elementary for three years through the LARY program—spending two hours a week mentoring students and building one-on-one connections. - ➤ Fox Valley Technical College celebrated its $2.1 million dental expansion on Tuesday by adding six treatment chairs and a new lab with 12 simulators—construction began in January and ended in July to help address the growing dental worker shortage. Hundreds attended the open house that featured food trucks, hands-on demos and campus tours of various programs. WOSH-AM

- ➤ Appleton International Airport is operating smoothly today despite the government shutdown as essential TSA workers remain on duty; Director Abe Weber said that while over 100 federal employees have not missed a paycheck yet, a future pay period may be affected if the shutdown continues—travelers are advised to monitor their flight information.
