- ➤ Air Wisconsin Airlines will lay off 252 employees from its headquarters at Appleton International Airport, Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport, and its hangar as it plans a sale. The layoffs will begin Oct. 28 after the airline signed a non-binding letter of intent with Premier Shuttle Holdings—an affiliate of Slate Aviation. WOSH-AM
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 25-year-old man drove the wrong way on I-41 near the Highway 55 interchange in Kaukauna around midnight Saturday and collided with another vehicle, injuring four people including a pregnant 27-year-old woman, her husband, and their 1-year-old child before he was taken to a hospital and arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated causing injury. - ➤ Appleton schools integrated sensory tools in all kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms on Aug. 27 with a $95,000 grant — the 400 regulation kits include breathing balls and sensory stones to help students manage their emotions and focus on learning.
