- ➤ Officials from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced Monday that the early goose season is open statewide from September 1 until September 15 with a daily bag limit increased to five Canada geese — hunters must carry a valid small game license, early goose permit, Harvest Information Program registration — and proof of state waterfowl and federal duck stamps while hunting.
