- ➤ Beau Wastel, 33, was convicted Wednesday for a Grand Chute coin store robbery—he entered in disguise and struck an employee with a pipe wrench before leaving with merchandise. FOX 11
- ➤ A Hortonville woman, Lindsey Feucht, 43, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit homicide after she allegedly agreed to pay $10,000 each to have her mother and stepfather killed—she is now held at Outagamie County Jail and will appear in court on Sept. 5. Post-Crescent

- ➤ Fox Valley Literacy in Appleton offers free reading classes for adults to help break the cycle of low literacy passed from parents to children. The program focuses on English learners and those with limited reading skills and is designed to improve job prospects—bringing long-term benefits to families. NBC 26
- ➤ On Wednesday, Appleton Area School District received a record-breaking $95K grant from the Appleton Education Fund to pay for sensory regulation toolkits in kindergarten through fifth-grade classrooms—expected to help over 6,500 students each year. The toolkits include items like fidget rings, texture stones, calming visual objects and breathing tools that help students manage their feelings in class. WOSH-AM
- ➤ Chileda Learning Center in Menasha is nearly at capacity one year after opening—30 of 37 licensed seats are filled—and it serves students with high support needs from 14 public school districts.
