- ➤ On Sunday a 26-year-old man ran a stop sign at State Highway 55 and Greiner Road in Freedom and hit a 57-year-old Pulaski woman—seriously injuring her—and both drivers were taken to hospital, with investigators saying alcohol was likely a factor. WHBY
- ➤ Multiple fire departments responded on Saturday morning at 9:52 a.m. to a silo fire on County Road Z in Buchanan—crews from Greenleaf, Holland, and Wrightstown helped set up water and refill stations while Buchanan Fire and Rescue worked for over three hours to contain the burning silage. - ➤ A house on the 1100 block of West Summer Street in Appleton caught fire at around 4:04 a.m. on Aug. 24—firefighters put it down in five minutes, treated one person for burns and smoke inhalation, and the damage is estimated at $30,000, though everyone escaped safely. Post-Crescent
