- ➤ Appleton American Legion Post 38 held its brat fry on August 20 and raised a record $16,000 for Old Glory Honor Flight, exceeding their 2024 goal of $7,000. The event featured new menu items and special displays—honoring veterans and offering healing for those who served in Vietnam. WOSH-AM

- ➤ Sandy Slope Elementary School in Appleton will open Sept. 2 at 2625 E. Edgewood Drive to serve 600 students with flexible classroom pods and modern learning spaces.
