- ➤ On Tuesday evening, a 49-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman from Bear Creek were seriously injured when an SUV left the roadway near County Road W on County Road D in Maple Creek and hit a tree—officials said speed and alcohol likely contributed to the crash and the road was closed for about three hours. - ➤ Verizon runs a switch station in Appleton where fiber optic cables join more than 700 cell towers to servers that support calls, websites and app use. Tony Lovero said the station uses five large air conditioning units to keep equipment cool—especially during busy events like the NFL Draft and EAA AirVenture. FOX 11

Reif, a Fox Valley man from Winneconne, after his vehicle was found abandoned on private land off East Circle Drive in Somo on Wednesday before 10:45 a.m.—a trail camera captured an image matching his description on Sunday at 8:45 a.m., and he is 5-foot-8, weighs 250 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes so anyone with information should call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 715-536-6272.
