Good morning, Appleton.

Make Music Day returned for its ninth year in downtown Appleton on Sunday, June 21, with community groups hosting bucket drumming, singing, a guitar jam and a bubble show while Mayor Woodford joined in on guitar to celebrate the city’s music culture.

Appleton will install solar panels on the public library roof this fall using funds from its geothermal reimbursement, and the panels are expected to produce 30% of the building’s energy, saving $70,000 a year and recouping a $700,000 cost in under seven years (providing a renewable energy education opportunity).
