Dozens turned out for the 22nd annual Cruise for Cancer ride—held on June 8 at Vandervest Harley-Davidson in Howard—to support local cancer charities, adding to nearly $3M raised over its history.
Top donor Jim Stallard contributed $18,000 while 15-year-old Aiden Dohr raised over $7,000 to help families battling cancer.

PBS Wisconsin will debut a new documentary that captures Appleton’s Mile of Music festival with live performances and artist interviews recorded in 2024.
A free screening is set for June 16 at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center + the film will premiere on TV and online on June 23 at 8 p.m.

Fire Chief Travis Teesch of Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue earned a Chief Fire Officer designation from the Commission on Professional Credentialling and joined an elite group of 32 service leaders in Wisconsin—highlighting his strong leadership and commitment to public safety.
His achievement underscores a high professional standard in serving the community.
Fox Valley Metro police in Kimberly expressed shock after learning of a plan to switch police services to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office — a move expected to save roughly $250,000 a year.
Officers warned that the change could lead to job losses and reduced local input and urged residents to attend public listening sessions on June 16 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Evergreen Room at 515 W. Kimberly Avenue.
