  • Appleton Police investigated an incident in the 3000 Block of East Canary Street on Friday afternoon that briefly slowed traffic — officers responded to a potential weapon disturbance at one residence and reported no injuries, arrests, or public safety risks.  WBAY

HEALTH NEWS

  • Winnebago County reported 24 overdose deaths in 2024, a 49% drop from 47 in 2023, as county officials say harm reduction programs like Narcan distribution helped save lives—expanding services such as recovery coaching and improved system communication. County leaders warned that planned federal funding cuts to recovery programs could reverse these gains in the future—prompting calls to maintain current efforts.  FOX 11
