  • Cellcom said Friday it had no new updates as it continues to work on a long-term outage caused by a cyber incident that disrupted phone and text services—some customers still report they cannot make calls.  WBAY
  • Cellcom customers have been without full service since May 15 due to a cyber incident that stopped calls, texts and number porting—forcing many to seek other carriers. Appleton business owners and residents are now waiting for their numbers to be restored while providers like Boost Mobile see a steady rise in new customers.  WTAQ

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices are lower ahead of the busy Memorial Day weekend, with Wisconsin’s average at $3.05 per gallon and some counties, like Menominee, reporting just $2.84 per gallon. The national rate stands at $3.20 per gallon — a marked drop from last year and a relief for travelers hitting the road soon.  We Are Green Bay

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Wisconsin had 22 tornadoes this year — with 7 on April 28 and 15 on May 15 — and meteorologists say weather conditions will support more tornado activity through August. Experts are still studying if the surge is linked to a warming climate.  Post-Crescent

  • The House of Representatives passed a bill early Thursday morning to end federal tax on tips for both cash and card payments from 2025 to 2028 and the bill now must pass the Senate.
