ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices in Appleton have risen to $4.56 per gallon, up 25.7 cents from last week's rate, while the national average dipped slightly to $4.47. Market watchers say the increase reflects ongoing volatility in oil supplies. FOX 11

- ➤ The Neenah Police Department introduced K9 officer Bo (a 16-month-old Belgian Malinois from Hungary) who recently completed training in Dodge County and is now pairing with Officer Bryce Sweeney to boost narcotics detection and officer support. FOX 11
- ➤ The mayor of Appleton, Jake Woodford, issued a proclamation on Monday to raise awareness about period poverty during Menstrual Health Awareness Month and Period Poverty Awareness Week. The move highlights local nonprofit efforts, including The Monthlies Project, which filled 2,000 backpacks with menstrual supplies for youth. FOX 11
- ➤ County Highway GG in Outagamie County is closed from Monday, May 18 until Friday, May 22 for culvert pipe repairs just east of Kaukauna (drivers must detour via County Highway Z to Haas Road and then turn right onto County Highway ZZ). WTAQ
