- ➤ The Appleton Light the Night Market originally set for May 16 was moved to May 30 from 5 to 10 p.m.—severe weather forecasts predicting storms with gusts up to 60 mph led organizers to change the date to protect everyone’s safety. - ➤ Former Green Bay Packer AJ Dillon and his wife Gabrielle packed and delivered 1,400 backpacks full of snacks for children and families in need in Appleton as part of the Carry for a Cause campaign. They attended the Pickleball for a Purpose event at Pickleball Kingdom to support the Dillon Family Foundation (which fights hunger) later that day. We Are Green Bay
- ➤ The annual Appleton Memorial Day Parade and Moment of Remembrance Ceremony will be held on May 26 to honor servicemembers who sacrificed their lives. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at College Avenue and Appleton Street and will be followed by a ceremony at the Riverside Cemetery’s George D. - ➤ After two weeks of collecting, the Royal Rump Rumble Diaper Drive ended with diapers donated at the station lobby and 22 other sites—11 nonprofits, including Leaven in the Fox Cities, will use the supplies to build diaper castles on display from May 22 to May 29. WBAY

- ➤ Appleton city officials are considering changing a portion of North Oneida Street from one-way to two-way traffic because patients near the new Mosaic Health Clinic have been driving the wrong way. Traffic Engineer Eric Lom said the 100-block is wide enough to support two-way traffic (with on-street parking), and the plan may improve safety downtown. WHBY
