- ➤ Appleton Fire Department dedicated a new pavilion at Lundgaard Park to honor four firefighters who died in the line of duty. The ceremony featured a hose uncoupling and a memorial wall—its plaques pay tribute to the fallen, including Mitchell F. Lundgaard, who served 14 years. WBAY
- ➤ Downtown's Light the Night Market returned Friday, filling College Ave with vendors + live entertainment from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission was free for all ages. WBAY
- ➤ Appleton-based Pillars provided over $1M in rent subsidies during the past year for more than 300 low-income renters paying about $350 to $400 monthly. The nonprofit adjusts rents to 30% of tenants' income (using donated properties and grants) to improve housing stability. WTAQ
