- ➤ On Wednesday, May 13, the Appleton Fire Department quickly controlled a fire on South Chain Drive reportedly sparked by a lithium-ion battery; all occupants evacuated safely while one family was displaced (damage estimated at $50,000). FOX 11
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Appleton Downtown, Inc. will host the free Heid Music Summer Concert Series outdoor at Jones Park starting on June 4, with live music and food & drink options every Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. through August. Post-Crescent
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Over 3,000 students attended FOX 11 Weather Day on Wednesday, May 13 at Fox Cities Stadium, where meteorologists taught weather basics through live demos (trivia and green screen activities) before students watched ceremonial first pitches by the Timber Rattlers.
