- ➤ Appleton’s first-ever men’s sober living house, Elliott House, opened with an open house Friday by Redemptions Recovery. The multi-family home has 5 bedrooms + 2 kitchens and a meditation center, and eight men have already moved in. WBAY
- ➤ Wheelchair Wash returned to Appleton on Friday at John Fisher Manor offering free cleaning and inspections of wheelchairs — participants were also able to explore assistive technology and adaptive vehicles. WBAY
- ➤ Fifty volunteers planted 50 crab-apple trees along Apple Creek Trail on May 7—an effort inspired by a trip to DC—and their work leads into Friday's free Apple Blossom Festival at the Youth Sports Complex featuring a hot air balloon glow, kite festival, live music, and nature walks. FOX 11
