- ➤ Wisconsin Public Service and WE Energies have launched a contest with punned names for peregrine falcons like Matt Tweet, Rob Soarin’ and Rachel Chirpniak, and the public may vote repeatedly until May 5 (voting is accessible online) to honor local news anchors. WTAQ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Three weeks after voters approved a four-year, $60 million referendum, Appleton’s school district said its budgets will balance for now while warning that state funding and special education reimbursements might shift—posing challenges for long-term planning. FOX 11
- ➤ Miron Construction hosted a signing Monday in New London to celebrate Brice Guyette as one of its first youth apprentices. Guyette signed as a carpenter apprentice with Carpenters Local 955, began his work in August 2025 on the courthouse project and will graduate high school soon. WBAY
