- ➤ Local 5 journalist Millaine Wells was inducted into the Wisconsin 4-H Hall of Fame on Saturday for her two decades of reporting on student success and 4-H events. She received the honor alongside (11) other new inductees as the organization recognizes its legacy. WOSH-AM
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Flood water is receding in Shiocton as officials complete damage assessments before allowing evacuated residents to return. County executive Tom Nelson urged residents to report flood impacts to help secure FEMA aid + details on the new Multi-Agency Resource Center remain pending. FOX 11
- ➤ Appleton Fire Department offers food truck inspections on April 22 from noon to 4 p.m. at Fire Station 6 & on other dates including April 28 in Fond du Lac, May 14 in Menasha, and May 19 in Green Bay; trucks that pass receive annual stickers. WTAQ
- ➤ WisDOT hosts a work zone safety event in Appleton today (a black ribbon tied to seven traffic cones honors lost lives) to remind drivers to slow down and avoid distractions. I-41 work resumed last month, and widening overpass bases will add a lane by 2030. FOX 11
