- ➤ Hortonville High School closed early on April 17 so students could help with flood relief by sandbagging and preparing its fieldhouse (to serve as a Red Cross shelter) for affected communities in northern Outagamie and Waupaca counties. - ➤ Shiocton officials met at 9 a.m. Friday to assess rising floodwaters as the Wolf River passed 14½ feet — a level expected to rise further amid a forecast storm — and they urged residents to evacuate if they had not already done so. WBAY

- ➤ Following recent flooding and tornadoes, Wisconsin Department of Health Services warned residents to follow safety protocols during storm cleanup.
