- ➤ Philanthropist Mary Beth Nienhaus is offering to match up to $400,000 in donations for the senior center as organizers work toward a $6.5 million goal by converting the Thompson Center on Lourdes. The center — located at 3000 E. College Ave. in a former grocery store and expected to open in June — will include pickleball courts, wellness and fitness areas, classrooms with technology, and gathering spaces. FOX 11

- ➤ Appleton International Airport completed a 66 million dollar concourse expansion on Thursday that adds 47,000 square feet + doubles the terminal ahead of NFL Draft week in Green Bay. The new concourse will open Monday, April 21 to support 272 flights scheduled from April 23 through April 27. WOSH-AM

- ➤ Martin Schiedermayer, 63, of Appleton was sentenced on April 17th to five years in prison and seven years of extended supervision for robbing Wells Fargo in January—he also robbed the same bank in 2011 and said he did it to avoid homelessness. Post-Crescent

- ➤ Outagamie County will close lanes on County OO on Northland Avenue next week for concrete pavement repairs from N. Richmond Street to Meade Street—lane closures will start Monday and all access points will stay open until the work ends May 15. FOX 11
