- ➤ On April 7, Fox Cities voters chose school board members; Appleton's incumbents kept their seats while Kimberly and Neenah elected new members. Some precincts have not yet reported all results. Post-Crescent
- ➤ Appleton and Menasha school districts held referendums on operational funding for schools on Apr. 7. Appleton voters approved a plan to cover a $13M deficit by exceeding revenue limits (14,788 yes, 7,498 no), while Menasha's vote remained close (2,486 yes, 2,196 no as of 11:15 p.m.). Post-Crescent

- ➤ Appleton has reached an agreement with Hilton Paper Valley Hotel to operate Fox Cities Exhibition Center pending Common Council approval. The five-year deal, expected to be decided at Monday's 5:30 p.m. Finance Committee meeting (decision expected Monday at 5:30 p.m.), will let the hotel book events and share revenue for capital expenses.
