- ➤ John Edwards is launching the My Housing Voice survey this week in Northeast Wisconsin to help families and caregivers plan housing options for over 6,000 individuals with autism + intellectual disabilities in Brown, Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago counties. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Teachers union (WEAC) and county executive Tom Nelson donated $8,500 to Friends of Appleton Schools to support a referendum that would add $15 million over four years to manage a $13 million deficit. Voting is today after early voting ended April 3. Post-Crescent
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ County Highway F remains closed between North Grandy Road and Krull Road west of Nichols until floodwaters subside; drivers are advised to take detours via State 47 + State 156 and State 187. The Wolf River remains above flood stage and should fall below by early Sunday. Post-Crescent

- ➤ Appleton reached a deal with Hilton Paper Valley Hotel to run Fox Cities Exhibition Center for five years with changes enabling flexible booking and exclusive deals + the city will take 6% of revenue for repairs. The finance committee approved the memo, and a full council vote will finalize it. WBAY
- ➤ Appleton reached an agreement with Hilton Paper Valley Hotel to operate the Fox Cities Exhibition Center pending Common Council approval after Monday’s 5:30 p.m. Finance Committee vote. The five-year deal lets Hilton book events freely and share revenue with the city while finalizing a new contract. FOX 11
