- ➤ The National Weather Service in Green Bay updated a flood warning at 9:38 a.m. on April 4 for Outagamie, Shawano and Waupaca counties, noting minor flooding near the Wolf River at Shiocton and that rising waters could crest at 12 feet before falling below flood stage on April 10—residents should use caution with flooded roads. - ➤ On Thursday, the Wisconsin Supreme Court said liberal justice Ann Walsh Bradley will become chief justice on May 1 to replace conservative Annette Ziegler whose term ended at the end of April. Bradley will lead for two months before liberal justice Jill Karofsky takes over for the rest of the term — the change follows a 2015 amendment that lets justices choose their chief. WBAY
- ➤ Construction resumes Monday on 8.8 miles of Highway 54 between New London and Shiocton as crews resurface roads, repair storm sewers, replace a culvert and upgrade curb ramps—road closures will begin in June with work wrapping up in late August. A second project will start next month on 8.6 miles of Highway 47 with lane closures and flagging while crews complete work started last year. WTAQ
