- ➤ A Kaukauna man accused of fatally shooting his father in an Appleton home in November pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease during his court appearance on Wednesday morning—he faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide, fleeing or eluding an officer and resisting obstructing an officer, with his next hearing set in about 60 days.
