- ➤ Appleton International Airport will open a new Grain + Grind Coffee + Deli this summer in collaboration with local Copper Rock Coffee Company, serving specialty coffees, breakfast, sandwiches and cocktails. The airport will also launch two express marts offering regional gifts and travel items. FOX 11
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Two Lawrence University professors, Michael Clayville and Erin Lesser, helped win a Grammy for Best Chamber Performance by a Small Ensemble on Feb. 1. The husband and wife duo have taught at the Conservatory of Music (Clayville since 2017 and Lesser since 2011). WBAY
- ➤ Appleton-area K-12 schools will take spring break on staggered schedules, with local public schools out from March 27 to April 3 and some districts adding staff development and Easter closures in early April. Post-Crescent
- ➤ UW-Oshkosh is exploring non-traditional methods to attract adult and online students amid a 2.4% enrollment decline from spring 2025 to spring 2026. University leaders plan to build partnerships with technical colleges and nearby campuses (including a recently closed branch in Appleton) to strengthen programs and finances. FOX 11
