EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Menasha schools asked voters for an extra $6 million over six years to balance budgets; the referendum will be up for vote on April 7, & property taxes will rise by an estimated 5 cents per $1,000 if approved. Post-Crescent
- ➤ The Appleton Area School District approved a $15 million referendum with a $2 million buffer to cover a $13 million annual budget shortfall, with payments ending in the 2029 to 2030 school year. Menasha voters will also see an operational referendum question on the April ballot. WBAY
- ➤ Appleton and Fond du Lac school boards have approved referendums to appear on the April ballot—Appleton's measure seeks $15 million yearly over four years for student services including mental health and poverty support while Fond du Lac's proposal requests $7.5 million annually for security upgrades and maintaining class sizes.
